The countdown to Garden Re-Leaf Day 2025 is on, and this year’s event promises to be a blooming marvellous day for everyone! Friday, 21st March 2025 will be a celebration of fundraising, fitness, and florals - supporting the incredible work of Wendover-based charity, Greenfingers, which creates magical gardens for children in hospices across the UK.
The Greenfingers Charity’s Garden Re-Leaf Day is a much-loved annual event that’s particularly close to the hearts of those in the garden retail sector, but over the years has become an event open to anyone wanting to take part and join in the fun. Whether you’re taking part in a sponsored walk, cycling challenge, or hosting a fundraising event, you can get involved and help make a difference while having a great time. This year’s theme is FLORAL and participants are encouraged to dress in their best (or worst!) floral or garden-inspired outfits.
Join the Garden Re-Leaf Sponsored Walk
For those in the local area, the Greenfingers Charity is excited to announce the annual Sponsored Walk will once again return to Tring Garden Centre, providing the start and end line for the two sponsored walk routes. Participants can tackle a 10-mile route or take on the new-for-2025, introduced to further embrace the charity’s 25th anniversary this year which sees the charity raising an impressive £2,000,025 to celebrate this milestone. Both routes will take walkers through scenic local areas and are expected to bring participants together for a fun and inclusive experience, whether walking solo, with friends, or as part of a team.
Cycling Challenge: Pedal power for the Greenfingers Charity
Cyclists can also join the action at Tring Garden Centre, where the Garden Re-Leaf Cycle Challenge will be based. The challenge offers routes ranging from 25 to 100 miles, which means there’s something for cyclists of every level. Whether you're an experienced cyclist or just dusting off your bike for the first time, now’s your chance to make a difference while getting active and enjoying the fresh air.
Fundraising Fun: Floral and green-themed activities for all
Whether you’re walking, cycling, or cheering on others, there are plenty of ways to get involved in fundraising this Garden Re-Leaf Day. People across the country will also be hosting floral-themed cake sales, green-themed events, and much more to raise vital funds for the charity. Whether at home, work, or within your community, you can make a real difference in a fun and creative way.
